Food Given to 1,500 Families from Palestinian Camps in Jordan

Last fall, Life executed a project that resulted in the distribution of food baskets to 1,500 Palestinian families from two refugee camps in Jordan.

The Gaza Camp near Jarash, and the Shalalah Camp near Aqaba are populated predominantly by Palestinians from Gaza who first came to the camps after becoming refugees in 1948.  Poverty is rampant in these camps, where families struggle just to survive.

The food baskets that were given to each family are estimated to provide enough meals for an entire month, insha’Allah.

At the Gaza Camp, Life announced that it would provide 100 orphans monthly sponsorships to take care of their essential needs, like food, clothing, and educational assistance.

Life registered the names of 100 orphans from the Shalalah Camp and is now seeking out donors who wish to sponsor one of these orphans for $50 a month.
