Life Wins Prestigious Noble Award

On April 24, 2010, Life for Relief and Development received The Noble Humanitarian Award during a major ceremony held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Life was the only Muslim-American organization among the 10 charities that were honored during the ceremony, which was broadcast live around the world.

Famed Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfik presented The Noble Award to Life’s president & CEO, Dr. Mujahid Al-Fayadh, in recognition of Life’s humanitarian activities around the world.  Tawfik also introduced a video clip of Life’s work to the audience, which responded with enthusiastic applause. 

During his acceptance speech, Dr. Al-Fayadh reminded audience members about the importance of assisting others in need, regardless of their gender, religion, or ethnicity, noting that as a Muslim-American charity, Life was fulfilling a Divine decree to help the helpless in their time of need.

The mission of The Noble Awards is to honor and support philanthropic organizations for their great works and impact on humanity.

The awards ceremony was organized by The Celebrity Charity Awards Corporation, a U.S. non-profit working to unify the efforts of charities with celebrities, the media and citizens to create an effective forum for change.

Other organizations that were honored during the ceremony include:  the UAE Red Crescent Society, UNICEF, the Dubai Autism Centre, Dubai Cares, Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Friends of Cancer Patients Society, Gulf for Good, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
