Life Builds New Clinic in Diyala

View album
Life for Relief and Development is pleased to announce the construction of a new healthcare clinic in the Iraqi city of Al-Miqdadiyah, which is in the province of Diyala.
The clinic was built in an underserved area of the country and will provide a wide range of medical services to some 5,000 Iraqis, who in most instances must travel long distances to receive medical attention.
The governor of Diyala recently toured the construction site and extended his thanks and appreciation to Life on behalf of all of the residents of his province.
In addition to the exam rooms, onsite pharmacy and administrative quarters, the clinic also houses a health education classroom where seminars will be conducted for community members on things like preventative health, prenatal and postnatal care, and nutrition.
The clinic in Diyala brings the total number of new clinics built by Life in the past year to three, and the total number of clinics operated by Life throughout Iraq to eight. More clinics are either already under construction, or are in the planning phase.
