Life Jordan Continues to Distribute Aid to Syrian Refugees

Life Jordan implemented a project to provide emergency humanitarian aid to Syrian refugee families living in Al-Mafraq and Al-Ramtha which are located near the Syrian-Jordanian border on behalf of Human Concern International.
Life arranged the distribution through a Jordanian charity that is responsible for caring for the refugees. There are nearly 1,000 refugee families registered in Jordan and there are between 600-1,000 Syrians crossing the border into Jordan on a daily basis.
Life purchased kitchen utensils, trays, irons, bed mattresses, pillows, blankets, hygiene kits, laundry detergent and food items which included cheese, canned meat, lentils, powdered milk, spaghetti, sugar, salt and juices to be given to Syrian refugee families.
During the distribution Life staff received many words of praise and thanks for the items they received through this project. The refugees were so happy to receive the items which helped tremendously to ease their suffering and oppression as a result of being forced to leave their country and are now burdened with living without the security of a home or the luxury of a bed and other household items.
Refugees are still in need of continuous help from relief organizations for the months to come, especially to provide supplies like blankets, kitchen utensils and food items.
