LIFE FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT SIERRA LEONE DISTRIBUTES DESKTOP COMPUTERS AND LADIES HAND BAGS

As a way of promoting and supporting educational activities, Life for Relief and Development distributed 287 complete sets of desktop computers. This program shows Life’s commitment to contribute positively to modern technological development of education in the developing world.
The distribution took place at Life’s multipurpose hall in Kissy, with the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Development present for the distribution ceremony.
Haja Mariama Fadika, Life representative, expressed gratitude and appreciation to all those attending the ceremony. She pointed out that Life is seriously committed to supporting orphans, constructing Masajid’s, digging water wells and other developmental projects nationwide.
Sheikh Mohamed Lamin Fofana, Life’s Country Director, highlighted some of the major achievements of Life in Sierra Leone over the years. He asked the beneficiary institutions to make good use of the computers and hopes this will help to enhance their technological advancement.
The Deputy Minister commended Life for their giant strides in fulfilling their objective as a humanitarian and development institution. He further acknowledged their continuing support to Life as a Ministry and hopes to fast track the clearing process of future shipments. The Hon. Minister concluded by highlighting the significance of computers to institutions of learning and technological advancement.
The distribution of computers and handbags climaxed the ceremony. Over 20 schools, 7 districts and 50 individuals received computers during the distribution and over 500 women received handbags.
Life for Relief and Development Sierra Leone expresses gratitude to Life USA and its donors for the invaluable contribution of these items in benefitting the lives of the less fortunate communities in Sierra Leone.
