Life for Relief and Development Distributes Food and Relief Items to Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

Since the Syrian crisis began and Syrian refugees entered Lebanon, Life has been actively involved with helping aid the Syrian refugees. Life has been providing aid to refugee families in the North of Lebanon to Al-Bekaa and Jabal Lebanon.
The project helped to provide Syrian refugee families basic food, detergent, cleaning, hygiene materials and gas cylinders. This helped ease the financial burden and hardship on the families that received the items. The families were so happy to receive these items, this project really helped to take the stress and burden off of the head of the family.
Over 400 Syrian refugee families living in Iqleem Al-Karoub region in Jabal received food baskets to last for one month that contained rice, sugar, crushed lentils, chick peas, beans, bulgur, salt, macaroni, powdered milk, tomato puree, tea bags, cooking oil, cheese, flour.
The 2nd part of this distribution was the distribution of 100 baskets of cleaning products to families which provides enough cleaning/hygiene materials to last for one month. The baskets contained bleach, multi-purpose cleaner, floor cleaner, children’s shampoo, shampoo, dish soap, soap bars, and detergent.
The 3rd part of this distribution was the distribution of 100 gas cylinders for 100 families
A total of 400 Syrian families and total of 4000 persons benefitted from this project. As winter approaches there is an urgent need for mattresses, heaters, blankets and winter clothing for the refugee families so they can survive through the winter, many families are still living under the open skies and need your help.
