LIFE Delivers Relief to Internally Displaced Families from Talafar
Thursday, August 3, 2006

As hundreds of families displaced by fighting in Talafar City in Iraq began to flee to the neighboring areas, villages and districts of Mosul, LIFE for Relief and Development was there to distribute food packages to them.
More than 200 families since the beginning of the Talafar crisis were given honey, packaged milk, cooking oil, biscuits, two varieties of canned beans and other emergency items. In order to ensure efficiency, LIFE partnered with the Youth & students League and the Iraqi Charity Work Organization for this successful distribution. This distribution is valued at more than $10,000.
LIFE has always been a pioneer when it comes to emergency relief in Iraq. LIFE is unwavering in its commitment to providing internally displaced families with food, medical equipment and medicine, clothing, sleeping bags, tents and mobile health clinics while facing the deteriorating security issues in the region.
For future distributions in this area, LIFE has taken into account the need for more of a variety of food and the need for items such as tents, sleeping bags, first aid kits and water storage containers.
