LIFE's History in The Palestinian Territories

After the Intifada began in 2000, LIFE decided to begin work in the West Bank and Gaza and initially sent staff to assess the situation and needs of the Palestinian people. Palestine PeopleAfter witnessing their devastating economic and living conditions, LIFE decided to open a field office in Nazareth to carry out humanitarian assistance projects throughout the West Bank and Gaza. LIFE distributes food, medical and educational supplies, and builds water cisterns to improve the water availability to poor households in the villages.

Among the work done in the Palestinian Territories, LIFE strives to provide education-promotion programs as well as building state of the art medical facilities. LIFE also works to distribute food to thousands of families, and is currently undertaking a water supply and conservation project. LIFE is determined to maintain its offices in Nazareth so that it may continue to provide the Palestinian people with emergency relief during their times of struggle.
