Life Provides Assistance to Haiti Earthquake Victims Immediately after the earthquake struck Haiti, Life for Relief and Development dispatched a team of relief workers to distribute aid to the earthquake victims. Life’s relief team distributed emergency relief items such as food, water, medicine, medical supplies, hospital beds, hygiene kits, and clothing to the millions of Haitians who were affected by the earthquake. Since the earthquake Life has shipped 10 - 40 ft. containers filled with medical supplies, medicine, hospital beds, tents, relief items, bottled water, food and clothing to Haiti. Our team has renovated 4 community centers and is installing water purification units in public buildings. On a regular basis we are feeding families that are still living on the streets and in tents. There is still a tremendous need to feed those affected by the earthquake and there is still minimal access to clean water. Life is on the ground working to provide assistance to those still in need. Medical Shipment Leaves for Somalia With the support of its partner, Children of Abraham, Life was able to recently send off a large shipment of medicine and medical supplies to a new clinic that opened in the Somali town of Abudwak.
