Life Mobilizes to Provide Emergency Assistance to Families Affected by Hurricane Sandy
Life for Relief and Development is working with its partners to provide emergency aid to families that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. There are still many families in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who are still without heat, lights or refrigeration.
Families living in these areas are in urgent need of canned/boxed food, bottled water, blankets, pillows, bedding, winter clothing, emergency kits that contain disinfectants, cleaning supplies and first aid kits, hygiene kits that contain soap, shampoo, detergent, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, brushes, personal care items, baby diapers, formula and other relief items.
In the next few days Life will be distributing 2000 hot meals to families that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Life is also arranging for a 53-foot truck filled with canned foods, cleaning supplies and hygiene kits to be delivered to the victims very soon.
