How it Works
|
|
When you sponsor an orphan, you are asked to make a commitment to support that child on a monthly basis for at least one year.
The monthly cost of sponsoring an orphan is $55—that’s about $1.80 a day. Your sponsorship will pay for many of the child’s needs, such as food, clothing, school supplies, health services, and living expenses.
The exact type of support provided to each child varies, depending on his/her individual circumstances.
Soon after starting your sponsorship, a welcome package will be mailed to you, which will include a biography and photograph of your sponsored child.
You will receive progress reports on your sponsored child’s education, health, and overall wellbeing. What’s more, he/she will send you a personal letter at least once a year, and you will have the opportunity to write back as well.
Donors who do not want to make a year-long commitment can still support Life’s orphans program by contributing to the Orphans General Fund.
