Since the start of the conflict in March of 2011, Syria’s economy has fallen tremendously, leaving a huge burden on families and their loved ones. Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) has been at the center of providing aid in Syria since 2004, and most recently has sent food aid and blankets, along with supplying clean water to communities. In addition to delivering emergency aid to Syria, LIFE also supports several educational initiatives.

In 2018, LIFE started their higher education project in Syria, which comprises of a range of programs at addressing diverse educational needs, including university education support, university scholarships, support for public schools, a technical and vocational education and training program (TVET), and constructions of schools.

 

Each of these programs benefits the educational sector of Syria from ensuring equitable access to higher education opportunities and enhancing the quality of education, while supporting teachers and staff to preparing students for future employment opportunities that supports the economic development of Syria, as well as addressing infrastructure gaps while expanding access to quality education facilities.

LIFE wants to continue providing essentials to the people of Syria, but we need your help in doing so.
