Creating Beautiful Tomorrows in Orphans Today

Many people believe that helping an orphan is simply a good deed done, it is so much more than that. If an individual is given their rights as a child to have access to education, health care, shelter, clean water, and food, the possibilities for that individual are limitless. Additionally, when an individual receives the support, they need it can not only change their life but all the generations that could potentially come from them.

Without proper care, orphans can become destitute resorting to crime or being victims of crime. These events can lead to incarceration later in life, illness, or premature death. All these paths in life create individuals who are dependent on a system rather than individuals that give to a system.

There are many orphans who are an incredible testament to what is possible when an orphan is supported. Edgar Allan Poe, Malcolm X, and Eleanor Roosevelt were all orphans from a young age that received alternative care. These people went on to make a positive impact on the world at large.

Another example of an orphan who was adopted and became an incredible addition to the advancement of society is Steven Jobs. Born to Joanne Carol Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, Steve Jobs was given up for adoption in the early years of his life. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs and raised with love and care in their family home. Jobs would go on to become an engineer, designer, businessman, and entrepreneur, most notably CEO and co-founder of Apple Inc. Though Steve Jobs, unfortunately, died a premature death in 2011, his legacy lives on, as his microcomputer and Apple products continue to be celebrated and used worldwide.

How many more undiscovered Steve Jobs are there in the world? New technology, a cure for cancer, a solution to global warming, anything is possible with the fostering and growth of the next generation. Even the creation of good, kind, helpful people in this world is enough, let alone the thought of breaking generations upon generations of suffering and poverty.

Sponsoring, adopting, and giving to an orphan should be a top priority for those that can afford to give. There are many ways to invest in this untapped potential. Donating to the enhancement and support of educational facilities and programs, giving to the upkeep and building of orphanages, sponsoring an individual orphan, and/or adopting a child, are a few ways you can unlock beautiful tomorrows. By investing in orphans, we invest in our communities and all the possibilities they hold.
