Emergency Flood Relief: Help Families Devastated by the Texas Floods
108 LIVES LOST. 28 CHILDREN GONE. FAMILIES IN CRISIS.
Torrential rains in Central Texas have caused catastrophic flooding, triggering one of the most heartbreaking natural disasters in recent memory. At least 108 people have lost their lives, including 28 children, many of whom were attending summer camps along the Guadalupe River — a river that rose over 20 feet in under two hours.
The hardest-hit region, Kerr County, is in mourning. Rescue efforts are still underway, with 23 people still missing. Hundreds of volunteers and more than 20 state agencies are working around the clock in a race against time.
As the floodwaters recede, the damage left behind is devastating. Homes are destroyed. Families are displaced. Communities are shattered.
