Life Partners with Meals on Wheels to Sponsor 1,200 Meals to Local Seniors in Metro Detroit

With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting each and every one of us, seniors are at large risk during this time. Most of them are unable to leave their homes to go out and get the necessities that they need to survive, such as food and hygiene materials. The Detroit area has become a hotspot for the coronavirus, affecting many seniors in the area. Life for Relief and Development, a nonprofit organization, located in Southfield, Michigan, recognized this issue and took action.

On April 17th, Life sponsored Meals on Wheels to distribute over 1,200 emergency meals to the local seniors in the Metro Detroit area. The distribution took place at the St. Patrick Senior Center in Midtown. The event was a huge success, and Life was happy to be able to help its local community members, who are elderly and at high risk during this hard time.

Life is continuing to distribute meals to communities in need all over the world from the U.S., Iraq, Ghana and Palestine to Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and many more countries all over the world. This is a crucial time for everyone, and with one of the highest unemployment rates in history, the need is definitely there. After all, we are in this together, and where there is Life, there is hope.

Life would like to thank its donors for their support in helping to make this happen!
